Welcome!
This blog is all about how us "regular folk" can use electronic tools to enhance our college courses.
New, simple yet powerful tools are becoming available at a rapid pace . . . websites, blogs, PowerPoint, clickers, "smart" classrooms, computers and software, laser pointers, test scanners, SMART Boards, DVDs and video media, YouTube, iPods, cell phones, digital cameras, scanners, digital projectors, laser printers, and . . . well, the list just goes on and on.
Many of them have already proven to increase learning effectiveness by 25% or more than traditional course tools! Some, however, can get in the way of effective learning . . . especially if not used properly.
There are too many tools to use them all, of course. So how does one select which (if any) electronic tools to use in teaching their college courses? THAT's what this blog will be about.
I don't intent to "lecture" about anything here . . . just share ideas. And this will work best if you SHARE BACK by clicking the "comment" link or emailing me directly with your ideas, concerns, questions, corrections, clarifications, and favorite jokes or stories.
